The issue of weight loss
The issue of weight loss and the quest for that perfect
figure is in the forefront of many women’s minds. The look
of beauty is portrayed in television ads and in magazine
print by overly slim anaemic looking models. This image
gives women of all ages a false view of beauty and what it
means to look good and be healthy. This body image has given
many individuals an unrealistic and unhealthy goal; one that
has left many to fail in their diet plans. Obesity has
become an epidemic in North America with nearly a third of
adult men and more than a third of adult women being
considered obese today.
A contributing factor to this growing trend may be the
mistrust of the weight loss industry by consumers. In the
last 5 years the multibillion dollar weight loss industry
has been a little flat. Contributing factors has been a
little flat. Contributing factors may include fad diets, fad
trends, fraudulent weight loss products with phony before
and after photos, false and misleading diet claims; all of
which have left many consumers confused… until now.
Lately, more and more scientific research studies have been
linking environmental toxins to the increase in adipose
tissue in one’s body; the Natrajan explains it very well in
this video and offers a solution everyone should consider
doing twice a year: in the spring/summer and fall.
Since the Holiday season has already started, the best
thing to do is exercise moderation when it comes to food,
and keep up with as much activity as you can; preparing for
the New Years’ is also a good idea: take a look at
Dr.Anca’s upcoming E-courses to help you get in shape in the
New Year.
