Any detox program or just maintaining good health requires
an appropriate amount of fibre;  here are
Ten Tips for Increasing Fibre Intake
1.     Add dried fruits to salads, slaws and casseroles.
2.     Include the skins of fruits and vegetables (such as
potatoes and pears) in cooking.
3.     Add seeds and nuts to winter meals.
4.     Pack slaws, which keep relatively well, in bagged
lunches.
5.     Experiment with root vegetables (potatoes, carrots,
parsnips and beets) to create interesting fibre-filled side
dishes.
6.     Choose whole-grain breads, pasta and cereal and
brown rice.
7.     Read nutrition labels on packages and recipes. A
high source of fibre is usually 4 g per serving.
8.     Add wheat bran to smoothies, cereal and cottage
cheese.
9.     Add beans, lentils and legumes to stews, salads and
other dishes.
10.  Drink plenty of fluids when increasing fibre intake to
help your body adjust to digesting fibre.
